My home is filled with thrifted vintage treasures, and one thing I can never resist at the flea market is old tart or Jell-O molds. They’re tiny, adorable, and usually budget-friendly — the perfect combo.

Over time, I collected so many that I decided to turn them into something I could enjoy every day: a wreath! It’s a quick, satisfying project using things I already had on hand — my favorite kind.

Supplies:

  • Assorted bakery tins and molds (various sizes)
  • Glue
(My go-to is DAP glue, but hot glue or any strong adhesive will work)
  • A large piece of cardboard
(I just cut up an old box)
  • Ribbon

Optional extras: vintage buttons, torn book pages, or anything else you love

How to Make It:

  1. Cut your cardboard base.
Cut your base into a 16 inch diameter ring that is about 2½ inches wide. No need for perfection — the molds will cover it completely
  2. Play with your layout.
Arrange your molds in small sections. There’s no right or wrong — just layer and
    rearrange until it feels right.
  3. Glue as you go.
Once you’re happy with a section, glue it down before moving on to the next. Work in small sections until the entire wreath is covered.
  4. Add extra charm.
Fill in any gaps with buttons, book pages, or other small vintage touches for added
    texture and whimsy.
  5. Let it dry.
Follow the drying time on your glue packaging to be sure everything stays put.
  6. Hang it up!
Weave your ribbon between the molds and hang it wherever your home could use a little
    vintage sweetness.

It’s simple, satisfying, and a fun way to give new life to forgotten finds. Happy crafting!
